You are fit and you are fast and you want to learn more about gravel. But that darn dirt is a tricky bugger. I get it.
The skills that helped you on the road are not necessarily what is needed on the dirt. It can be frustrating and well..slow you down. Then there’s the whole falling component too.
Let’s take a step back and work through brakes, turning, climbing, and descending on the dirt.
It will help with confidence and mental energy and help you go faster and safer.

The goal is to leave you tired and feeling ready for more!! Also to give you the tools to set up for the rest of your training season.
Each month gets us a little closer to the BWR. And each month, OFC sharpens the blades, pushes our legs, and challenges you in a new way.
We bring you camp #2 (of 4), that includes all the good stuff from the first camp, including:
Detailed training plan with suggested local San Diego routes
Virtual strength training and mobility work
Delicious, nutritious, and simple menu suggestions to keep the body fueled.
Focus on breath work on and off the bike and climbing strength.
The goal is to leave you tired and feeling ready for more!! Also to give you the tools to set up for the rest of your training season.
Virtual Gravel Training Camp - 6 days including a recovery/stretch day and strength training.
This is the final training ride for the BWR and we will challenge ourselves together.
We will tackle all the hills, trails, and sections of the BWR and to be prepared in mind and body. We will laugh and cry and endure the challenges there is is to endure in a long endurance race and come out stronger for it.
We will continue to work on nutrition and skills throughout the ride. The goal is 100 miles and 10 hours on the bike. Food and drinks provided.
This is part of the OFC Gravel Training Program. We are half way into the training plan with less than two months for the BWR. This will test our endurance, strength, and tenacity.
We will work on pace and nutrition and celebrate the First day of Spring.
This is part of the BWR Training Plan - we will cover 40-60 miles and 4K feet of climbing. We will be working on sustained climbs and descending skills.
Its a new year and beginning of training season for many or perhaps you just would like a baseline to measure from.
This assessment will be limited to 5 riders. Each rider will get.
Body composition - including weight, body fat (skin calipers), and circumference.
Lactic threshold - this helps with training and determining your zones.
Recommended training zones.
Sample training program.
You should have some fitness to do this test (i.e. riding 3+ hours a week). This assessment will be focused on mountain bikers
COST: $50
Strength training is important to improve power and speed but to also help with injury prevention.
We will review proper warm-up and mobility exercises. Get in a full body strength training workout geared for soccer players working on hip stability and leg strength as well as core. We will finish the session with restorative work.
This is ideal for soccer players from 12-16 years of age and who are preparing for second part of their club league or those going into high school soccer.
Limited to 10 players
Getting the upper edge on the field by working on your speed and agility which will help you get to the ball first. We will breakdown the components of a sprint and work on running form using resistance, tools, and games. We will do some drills to hone into the power and endurance of sprinting. We will finish the session with restorative work.
This is ideal for soccer players from 12-16 who are preparing for second part of their club league or those going into high school soccer.

This event is designed for bikers - mountain bikers, roadies, gravel riders. And all levels - racers, soul riders, downhill, social and those who are looking to be exposed to new challenges.
We will dive into various components of training include:
How much to ride (and how hard)
Riding with a heart rate monitor and what zones mean
Training off the bike
Finding the areas that are slowing you down and where you can put more time and energy into your training.
Importance of recovery and what that even looks like.
In addition to this seminar, you will get sample workouts for training
Lite snacks and a beer token will be provided per rider.

Find out your lactic threshold which enables you to have a starting point for training. This workshop takes 1.5-2 hours and you must have a heart rate monitor and a way to measure it.
You should have some fitness to do this test (i.e. riding 3+ hours a week).
You will get a breakdown of your lactic threshold, training zones, and breakdown of training programs.
