Pre-race Report

BWR is days away. The hard work is done and now it’s time to press your kit and get the logistics laid out.

One key component I like to work with my clients is a Pre-Race Report. There’s something about writing it out and seeing your planning on paper that can be powerful for race day.

Here’s a sample of a Pre Race Report. Print it out and write out the information. This is a great skill to practice with any race (big or small).

GOAL OF A PRE-RACE REPORT

  • Mentally walk through the race from start to finish.

  • Set a goal of what you want to accomplish and stick to it. Be realistic in your goal.

  • Have a game plan for executing your goal.

  • Note all the preparation to successfully complete your race including temperature check, bike check, and food check.
