This program is designed for cyclists who
are new to strength training. This program is for beginners. If you are experienced in strength training; and want a program like this, stand by… will have an advanced program in late summer.

are avid, competitive cyclists.
live in San Diego and able train in person bimonthly in north county.
can commit to off the bike training - 30 minutes a day, 3 days per week.
want to feel and look stronger
You ride hard and you train hard. You also realize that you ‘should’ be strength training but your not sure how, where to start, what to do and don’t have the time to train let alone time to figure it out.
But here’s the skinny (no pun intended )
strength training is KEY to performance, critical for resilience and injury prevention and needed for longevity and quality of life. There’s a couple of (carrot and stick) approaches to prove this, if you need proof…take a look at top competitors and I guarantee they are strength training. or perhaps look at your older family members and how are they fairing with their ability to do things for themselves.
This program is designed FOR cyclists and specifically for cyclists new to strength training (perhaps terrified or hesitant). The workouts are all body weight; no equipment necessary.

Strength training will
* improve your performance on the bike by riding stronger (more power) to get you up climbs faster or easier and go harder longer.
* prevent injuries by balancing muscle overuse and ‘waking’ up muscles to assist.
* improve posture and balance
* feel stronger with your everyday activities.
* improve your body composition
* also helps with muscle tone and bone density.
